NIC FADDEN GREEN

In a very busy Summer for Nic Fiddian Green the season started off with the installation of four new monumental pieces at Royal Ascot where they received a rapturous reception. The 30ft high "Still Water" left on a ship from Felixstowe on its way to the Parx race course in Philadelphia, and The spectacular commission from Wellington College of a portrait head of the Duke of Wellington's horse "Copenhagen" was unveiled at a special ceremony at the School on the open day.

"Still Water" Nic's beautiful and serene head of a horse drinking, manufactured by the artist in delicate lead panels will soon be installed at The Olympic Equestrian Arena in Greenwich Park. An echo of his much loved landmark sculpture at Marble Arch.

Later on in July a brand new, enormous and striking sculpture "Fire" will be unveiled at Glorious Goodwood, the sculpture will dominate the grandstand looking down across the top of the South Downs towards the spire of Chichester Cathedral and out to sea. Further afield, in France Nic is delighted to be showing a piece at the world famous Deauville race course. Finally In Italy two new works will stand on the hills above the castle, on the legendary and beautiful Castello di Reschio Estate, in Umbria where Nic has been working this year, drawing inspiration from the Etruscan period and the very essence of the landscape and light of Umbria.
